In six words, Andre Mamprin is a Designer, Explorer, Catalyst, Ecologist, Developer and Alchemist. Over the last two decades, he devoted his efforts to the evolution of intelligent enterprise by helping dozens of organizations and thousands of leaders advance their work and contribution to the world.

Andre Mamprin is currently the Leader of Knowledge Architecture and the team leader of the neXt Lab™ at The Next Institute. Dedicated to Accelerating Smart Growth, Next is a recognized leader in the field of Strategic Enterprise Design working with a host of organizations in a wide range of industries across North America.

Andre is currently working on several start-ups including UpLift Studio Lab™ dedicated to organizational renewal and storytelling and The Next Learner Space™ a global initiative to develop leadership skills for highly enterprising youth.

Andre served as Director, Centre for Innovation, Leadership & Management at SheridanCorporate, a division of Sheridan College in Toronto Canada. Andre is keenly interested in advancing new thinking and applied research in the field of Innovation, Collaboration, Leadership Development and Enterprise Design.

Andre was formerly the Executive Director of Leadership Development at The Banff Centre – one of Canada's premier centres for leadership. He was instrumental in the design and delivery of leadership and organizational development programs for approximately 2500 participants per year along with a wide range of industry clients such as EnCana, Colt Engineering, TransAlta Utilities, Encana & General Dynamics. He was the co-architect of The Leadership Lab™ exploring issues of organizational leadership worldwide.

Prior to that, Andre held a leadership position with the Business Development Bank of Canada, where he led a team of highly skilled consulting practitioners on a myriad of consulting projects with a key focus on Finance, Strategy, Business Growth, Quality and Export.

Andre is an experienced entrepreneur, having successfully acquired, developed, operated, and sold many businesses in the oil and gas, manufacturing, export, and knowledge industries including Canadian Envirogenics, Texsyl Manufacturing, Enerdyne Energy Services & Tejas 7 International. He has gained hands-on, applied experience in growing profitable businesses driven by solid leadership ecosystems.

As an intense seeker of new knowledge, Andre has practiced, applied, and written extensively on his learning. Andre holds a master’s Degree in Leadership and Knowledge Ecologies and holds a Certified Management Consultant designation. Has authored The Next Leadership Operating System©, The Essential Elements of Leadership© and is a contributor to the recently released Teaching the Dinosaur to Dance Moving Beyond Business as Usual.

He was awarded the American Marketing Association's Marketer of the Year Award, The Governor General’s award for Community Service and The Charles S. Noble award for Student Leadership. As a seasoned leader in Corporate Governance, Andre served as a member of The Board of Directors of Hospice Calgary, Groves of Varsity Corporation and The Santa Fe Arts Institute in the United States.

Andre is a creative, trans-disciplinary thinker with a keen ability to analyze and apply a novel approach to a host of contemporary strategic issues. Placing great leadership at the heart of all individual and organizational success, he believes deeply that leaders can be developed.

As a bold architect of leadership learning, Andre loves to distill big ideas. He is a visual thinker who will always see the pattern; his ability to sketch a decision as it unfolds has brought immediate clarity to hundreds of senior leaders. Smart, experienced, and charming, Andre is highly persuasive as he names the elephant in the room.

Andre is intensely curious, an avid collector, a seasoned international traveller, painter, sculptor, and an avid mountain biker. On occasion, he makes and enjoys the perfect martini. He lives with his partner among the rolling foothills in Northwest Calgary and often plays in Nova Scotia Canada.
