Business allies and friends for a decade, Ross and Andre ran their own companies, led inside larger organizations, and worked on each other's projects as opportunities arose. In the fall of 2005, openings in their career paths simultaneously emerged and the conversation began. The Next Institute is the result.

Andre Mamprin is richly experienced in leadership development. Before co-creating The Next Institute, Andre served as Director of Leadership Development at The Banff Centre - one of Canada's premier centres for leadership - where he led a renewal of the entire suite of highly experiential leadership development programs. He was instrumental in the design and delivery of leadership and organizational development programs for a wide range of industry clients. He was the co-architect of The Leadership Lab™ exploring issues of organizational leadership worldwide.
Andre holds a Masters Degree in Leadership and Knowledge Management. He is an interdisciplinary thinker and creative visionary with a keen ability to analyze and apply a systems approach to a host of contemporary strategic issues. He lives with his life partner, Patricia Glenn, in Calgary, Canada. Andre places great leadership at the heart of all individual and organizational success.
Ross Gilchrist Leader / Strategic Design and Talent
Ross Gilchrist is a seasoned leader and an experienced coach to c-suite leaders and entrepreneurs. Before co-creating The Next Institute, Ross was the CEO of a boutique financial group. He served as Chief Marketing Officer for a $50 million national financial services company. He was a highly successful entrepreneur and coach, building a workshop and speaking enterprise focused on coaching entrepreneurs and professionals in Canada and the United States. He has been a senior executive in a multi-billion dollar international corporation.
Ross' excellence arises from his extensive corporate and entrepreneurial business experience, his creativity as a strategic and intuitive leader, and his passion for and ability to recognize and develop talent. He is a seeker and a lifelong learner. Ross lives with his life partner, Janet Alford, in Vancouver, Canada. He is a dedicated entrepreneur, and he knows the power of living and working on purpose.
